It is beginning of 2023 and I am paying yet another visit to Europe !

I love visiting Europe for many reasons. I find it is full of vibrant cities filled with museums, restaurants and most breathtaking architecture. Deciding on where to go next can be difficult though. That’s why from time to time I check U.S. News & World Report for their annual travel rankings of the best vacation destinations.

Their system is quite straightforward. The rankings are based on an analysis of expert opinions, user votes and trends. They also take in consideration highlights of each destination: sights and scenic beauty, culture, food and more.

Current top 15 places to visit in Europe are:

It is important to remember that this is a subjective list generated based on some opinions and trends. In other words, for each person it would look different based on our likes and dislikes.

That’s why I encourage you to check out official websites of each destination that I linked above and think about what do you want to get out of your next trip. For instance, if you want to get submerged into beauty of hundreds years old paintings and architecture, you might want to push Florence, Barcelona and Amsterdam higher. However, if you wish to have a laid back trip away from noise and crowds, then Cyprys and Swiss Alps might top your list rankings.

How many cities from Top-15 have you visited? As for me this number currently stands at 12. I am yet to visit Swiss Alps and Greece. I love Switzerland. Hopefully, I will get to hike Swiss Alps later this year ! As for Greece, maybe next year !
